Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of complex mechanical systems and components using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Conduct advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate designs and ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and product managers, to integrate mechanical solutions into broader product architectures.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept ideation and prototyping to final manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and technical specifications compliant with GD&T standards.
- Identify process improvements and innovative manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting software (SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and mechanical principles.
- Experience with FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
