Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex electromechanical systems and consumer products.
- Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA tools to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings adhering to GD&T standards.
- Conduct stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fatigue testing to validate product performance under real-world conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers.
- Manage the technical documentation process, including BOMs, design specs, and assembly manuals.
- Oversee the prototyping phase and drive rapid iteration cycles to meet aggressive product launch timelines.
- Identify potential manufacturing constraints early in the design phase to optimize for cost and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within the manufacturing, robotics, or aerospace industry.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) with a strong command of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, metal casting), and rapid prototyping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, agile environment.
