Responsibilities
- Lead Design Initiatives: Spearhead the conceptualization and detailed design of complex mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to validate design integrity, thermal performance, and structural stress.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, providing technical mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes using 3D printing and CNC machining, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure product reliability and performance specifications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into mass production.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to strict industry standards (ASTM, ISO) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Masterâs degree preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo; experience with ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, additive manufacturing).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
