Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process, from conceptualization through to mass production and final validation.
- Conduct advanced stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and dynamic simulations to ensure product integrity under load.
- Utilize industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor) to create complex 3D models and detailed 2D engineering drawings.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing staff, to integrate complex systems seamlessly.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, analyzing data to iterate designs and optimize performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations throughout the design lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo) and FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar).
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of driving innovation and efficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
