Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process from concept through to final production, utilizing state-of-the-art CAD software.
- Conduct thorough failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Oversee prototyping and testing phases, providing critical feedback to optimize designs.
- Collaborate with materials engineers to select the best components for durability and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM) and assembly instructions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, GD&T, and material properties.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
