Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to prototyping for renewable energy systems
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations using ANSYS and SolidWorks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components with electrical and software systems
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining rigorous quality control standards
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for sustainable product development
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and translate complex concepts into actionable plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with 3+ years in renewable energy or industrial automation
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD/CAM software
- Proven track record of leading product development from prototype to production
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA methodologies
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement methodology
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
