Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production for high-precision robotic components.
- Perform advanced FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity under rigorous operating conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electronics, and manufacturing to integrate complex systems.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and evaluate performance metrics for iterative design improvements.
- Oversee design for manufacturing (DFM) processes, ensuring high-quality output while managing cost-efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical CAD standards.
- Develop technical documentation and test validation plans for compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Proven track record in designing for additive manufacturing, machining, and injection molding.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material science, and fatigue analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high degree of autonomy in project management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical project reviews.
