Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of complex robotic sub-assemblies and housing.
- Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and performance under load.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate PCBs, sensors, and actuators seamlessly.
- Perform comprehensive design validation testing and lead root-cause analysis for system failures.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including assembly instructions and bill of materials (BOM).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices for DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
- Oversee rapid prototyping iterations and collaborate with vendors to ensure high-quality component fabrication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical product design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proven expertise in material selection, machining processes, and additive manufacturing.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-precision hardware solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
