Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and validation of aerospace components using advanced CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize thermal management systems for high-performance propulsion units
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop custom manufacturing solutions
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and industry conferences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in thermal and structural analysis for high-stress environments
- Strong knowledge of composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex challenges
- Strong communication abilities for technical documentation and presentations
