Responsibilities
- Lead the design, prototyping, and validation of mechanical systems for electric vehicles
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for component optimization
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems
- Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and supply chain solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for mechanical design workflows
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 26262, SAE J2452) and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or aerospace industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Proven track record of successfully launching complex mechanical systems
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
- Excellent project management skills with ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable
