Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from conceptualization to prototyping and validation
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop innovative solutions for automotive/aerospace components meeting stringent performance criteria
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) for integrated system design
- Conduct failure mode analysis and implement robust design improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous process innovation
- Ensure compliance with ASME standards and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools with proven portfolio of complex projects
- Deep knowledge of materials science, thermodynamics, and structural analysis
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping methodologies
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
- Valid US driver's license and ability to travel to client sites
