Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process of mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD software.
- Conduct thorough finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate designs under various load conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Develop and test physical prototypes to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly manuals, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards.
- Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the design department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
