Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate product performance under various stress conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing specialists.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, design drawings, and manufacturing specifications (GD&T).
- Oversee the prototyping process and perform rigorous testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for existing products and identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, simulation tools, and project management software.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and assembly techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
