Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform detailed stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product integrity and safety under various operating conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Participate in prototype testing, failure analysis, and iterative design improvements based on test data.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to strict engineering standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proven proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) and FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL).
- Strong understanding of GD&T standards, manufacturing processes, and materials science.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder presentations.
