Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from conceptualization through prototyping to production
- Develop detailed CAD models, simulations, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FMEA analysis and root cause investigations for mechanical systems
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and IoT components
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical drawings for compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial equipment
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and GD&T standards
- Strong knowledge of material science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with thermal, fluid, and structural analysis
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP a plus
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
