Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle using CAD/SolidWorks and FEA simulations
- Design and validate mechanical systems for durability, efficiency, and manufacturability
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and test new materials and manufacturing processes
- Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design excellence
- Develop documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS/FEA tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMA, and industry standards (ASME/ISO)
- Experience with manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal)
- Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to launch
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts
