Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of advanced mechanical components for aerospace propulsion systems
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and thermal analysis using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to validate designs through rigorous testing
- Generate detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and aerospace regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
