Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications adhering to GD&T standards.
- Conduct stress analysis and simulation using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to ensure product durability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers.
- Oversee the prototyping phase, creating functional prototypes and conducting rigorous testing protocols.
- Work with manufacturing partners to resolve production issues and optimize assembly processes.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal review and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting software.
- Strong working knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
