Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from conceptual design to mass production
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations using ANSYS/Abaqus
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, industrial design)
- Develop test protocols and validate prototypes against performance criteria
- Research emerging materials and technologies for competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in product design for consumer electronics
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Creo with PDM integration
- Certification in DFMEA and APQP methodologies
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining and injection molding
- Strong analytical skills with statistical process control knowledge
- Proven track record of launching at least 3 products to market
- Excellent communication skills with presentation experience
