Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop innovative solutions for automotive/aerospace components and systems
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate performance and optimize designs
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Manage project timelines and deliverables within budget constraints
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of mechanical design experience in automotive/aerospace
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Experience with additive manufacturing and hybrid processes
- Proven project leadership with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
