Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate product performance under real-world conditions
- Develop detailed prototypes through rapid prototyping techniques and oversee testing/validation procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to maintain quality and innovation standards
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechanical components with control systems
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability while maintaining quality benchmarks
- Research and implement emerging materials and technologies to enhance product capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Creo) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems
- Project management experience with ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and industry-specific regulations
