Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to prototyping and validation
- Design and optimize mechanical systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Conduct FMEA analysis and implement robust design for manufacturing principles
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation for compliance
- Collaborate with R&D on material innovation and sustainable design practices
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and cost-effectiveness
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for manufacturing or aerospace
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and finite element analysis (FEA) tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, and ISO 9001 requirements
- Proven track record in leading complex product development projects
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite material integration
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to root cause analysis
