Responsibilities
- Design complex mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis to validate product performance under stress.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, and product management) to translate concepts into viable designs.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes, manage testing protocols, and iterate designs based on empirical data.
- Maintain and update detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, manufacturing drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations (ISO, ASTM).
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in material selection and manufacturing processes without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (Masterās degree preferred).
- 5+ years of proven experience in mechanical design and product development within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting software with a strong portfolio demonstrating past projects.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing methods (CNC, injection molding, additive manufacturing).
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or lead a small team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical presentations and documentation.
