Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of propulsion components using CAD/CAE tools
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for performance optimization and validation
- Develop test protocols and oversee prototype validation in lab environments
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are applied
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with clients to translate technical requirements into engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven project leadership with complex system integration experience
- Active PE license and Six Sigma certification preferred
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite materials
