Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping, utilizing CAD/CAE tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including BOMs, schematics, and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
- Research and implement emerging materials and manufacturing processes
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation software
- Proven track record in FEA/thermal analysis for high-stress environments
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex challenges
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or actively pursuing certification
