Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes and material selection
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMA principles
- Experience with materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal)
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems in regulated industries
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
