Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping
- Analyze and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/thermal simulations for performance validation
- Develop test plans and execute physical prototype validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on DFM initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive or heavy machinery systems
- Proven project management skills and problem-solving ability
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
