Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mechanical systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and software components
- Develop manufacturing processes and optimize for cost, quality, and scalability
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and test protocols
- Drive DFM/DFA initiatives to enhance product manufacturability
- Lead prototype builds and validation testing under real-world conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL)
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in consumer electronics or industrial automation
- Certification in Six Sigma or project management (PMP) a plus
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
