Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD simulations for structural integrity and performance optimization
- Develop prototypes and validate designs through rigorous testing protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and propulsion units
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA V6
- Proven track record in stress analysis, vibration testing, and material selection
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and propulsion systems
- AS9100 certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex challenges
