Responsibilities
- Lead the design, prototyping, and validation of turbine components and fuel injection systems
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations using ANSYS and SolidWorks to optimize structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop test methodologies for high-speed rotating machinery and combustion systems
- Mentor junior engineers and document technical specifications per ASME standards
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and manufacturability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 8+ years aerospace/automotive experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite (Structural, Thermal, Flow)
- Strong knowledge of materials science (superalloys, composites) and manufacturing processes
- Certification in GD&T and experience with ASME Y14.5 standards
- Proven track record in turbomachinery or propulsion system design
- Experience with DOE and statistical analysis tools (Minitab)
- Active PE license preferred
