  • CAD Modeling: Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) to create high-fidelity 3D models and 2D assembly drawings.
  • Analysis & Testing: Conduct rigorous stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and thermal analysis to ensure product durability and reliability.
  • Prototyping: Collaborate with fabrication teams to develop functional prototypes and oversee bench testing to validate design performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers to integrate mechanical components into larger systems.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering specifications for manufacturing partners.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and provide technical mentorship to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, product development, or industrial engineering.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert level proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other CAD/CAM software.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding), and material properties.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex engineering problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tools: Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus.
