Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural validation
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing in our state-of-the-art lab facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions with electronic systems
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies for innovation pipeline
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and FEA tools (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA methodologies
- Experience with aerospace/defense projects and AS9100 standards
- Proven track record of leading complex mechanical system designs from concept to production
- Knowledge of composites, lightweight materials, and additive manufacturing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
