Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD/CAE tools
- Analyze thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics performance through FEA/CFD simulations
- Develop and validate testing protocols for aerospace components under extreme conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source specialized materials and components
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and NX CAD software
- Strong understanding of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems to production
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
