Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex products from concept through to mass production.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings compliant with GD&T standards.
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate product durability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly testing.
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed.
