Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of complex systems and components using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
  • Conduct detailed stress, thermal, and dynamic analysis to ensure product reliability and performance.
  • Develop and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure adherence to engineering standards and regulatory compliance (ISO, UL, ASTM).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and resolve fabrication challenges.
  • Create technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and test protocols.
  • Supervise junior engineers and provide technical mentorship within the engineering department.
  • Participate in the design review process and contribute to R&D initiatives for new product introductions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or automation industry.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting software (SolidWorks is highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and client presentations.
