Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and validation of automotive components using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols for durability, performance, and safety compliance
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure system integration
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges through root cause analysis
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in sustainable engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or heavy machinery
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA) and FEA analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and GD&T
- Proven track record of leading product development from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with ISO 9001/TS 16949 quality systems
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
