Responsibilities
- Lead complex mechanical design projects using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and FEA tools
- Develop and optimize product prototypes through rapid prototyping and testing methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical/software components
- Perform thermal and stress analysis to ensure product reliability and performance standards
- Manage project timelines, documentation, and compliance with industry regulations (ASME/ISO)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS/Nastran)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
- Proven experience with material selection and cost optimization
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
