Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping and production
- Analyze and optimize system performance using CAD tools (SolidWorks) and simulation software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronic and software components
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and test protocols
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product developments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and material science
- Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience in automotive or heavy machinery industry highly desirable
