Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Design: Spearhead the design of complex mechanical systems using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
- Simulation & Analysis: Conduct rigorous finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to validate product performance and structural integrity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger product architectures.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the prototyping process, manage test plans, and analyze data to refine designs and ensure quality standards.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical specifications for production teams.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development, preferably within the automotive or heavy machinery sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar).
- Standards: Deep understanding of GD&T, tolerance stacks, and manufacturing methodologies (CNC, injection molding, etc.).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
