Responsibilities
- Lead design and validation of mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing for performance and reliability
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality standards
- Collaborate with R&D to integrate emerging technologies (IoT sensors, additive manufacturing)
- Manage project timelines and budgets using Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product development for automotive/industrial sectors
- Expertise in FEA/CFD analysis and tolerance stack-up calculations
- Proven track record of reducing manufacturing costs by 15%+
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and DFMEA methodologies
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP is highly desirable
- Proficiency in PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill)
