Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for product optimization
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including schematics and BOMs
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate cutting-edge materials and manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with automotive or heavy machinery focus
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in leading complex product development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional project timelines and budgets
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
