Responsibilities
- Lead conceptualization and prototyping of advanced turbine components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Design and validate mechanical systems under extreme temperature/pressure conditions
- Mentor junior engineers while establishing best practices in design validation
- Interface with suppliers to develop custom manufacturing solutions
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation and test reports
- Contribute to patent development for proprietary mechanical innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace/mechanical systems design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Proven track record in thermal management and vibration analysis
- Experience with FAA/EASA certification processes
- Strong knowledge of composite material applications
- ASME Section VIII certification highly desirable
- Demonstrated project leadership with multi-disciplinary teams
