Responsibilities
- Lead Product Design: Conceptualize and develop complex mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for new product introductions.
- Simulation & Analysis: Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools to validate designs and optimize performance under stress.
- Prototyping & Testing: oversee the fabrication of prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and iterate on designs based on empirical data.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automation or robotics sector.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced command of 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, Inventor) and drafting software.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
