Responsibilities
- Lead product development lifecycle for automotive components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance through FEA and prototyping
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
- Collaborate with R&D teams to implement novel materials and manufacturing processes
- Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and test protocols
- Manage project timelines and resources within budget constraints
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, SAE J1738)
- Proven track record in product development from concept to production
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
