Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and prototyping of automated assembly systems using SolidWorks and Creo
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to optimize product performance and durability
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs for production partners
- Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Collaborate with electrical/software teams to ensure system integration success
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in precision mechanical design for automated systems
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining)
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis per ASME Y14.5
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
