Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mechanical components for electric vehicle powertrain systems
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and Creo
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems
- Conduct prototype testing and validation in our advanced R&D lab
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or heavy machinery
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of managing product development from concept to production
- Familiarity with electric vehicle battery systems and thermal management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with DFMEA and design for manufacturability principles
