Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of automotive mechanical systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop test plans and execute validation experiments for component durability
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system architectures
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost-efficiency and quality compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, NX)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with DOE and statistical process control
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems
- Proven project leadership with cross-functional teams
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
