Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance of components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to drive innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong background in precision mechanism design and motion systems
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
- Proven track record in bringing complex mechanical products to market
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
