Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural validation
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing/validation procedures
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system designs
- Optimize manufacturing processes for mass production feasibility
- Prepare technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and test reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive/industrial products
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM software and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of leading successful product development cycles
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
