Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design initiatives using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and validate prototypes through rigorous testing protocols
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Perform FEA/thermal analysis for complex mechanical systems
- Interface with suppliers to source critical components
- Mentor junior engineers and document technical specifications
- Drive continuous improvement in product lifecycle processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of product development experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with material selection and failure analysis
- Proven project management in cross-functional environments
- Automotive or heavy machinery industry background
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
